Assam Environment and Forest Department published recruitment notification For the following position on contractual basis (Initially for one year) under the ‘Climate Changed Program’

1. Research Associate –III

Upper Age Limit: 35 years

Nature of work: Climate vulnerability and risk assessment/Development of District level Climate actions for SAPCC/ NDC/SDG Accessing Climate funds

Qualification & Experience:

• Doctorate in Life Science/ Climate Science
• First class Master Degree in Life Science/ Environmental Science with a minimum of Five years of Research experience in the same fields.

Desirable

• Work experience in Climate change vulnerability and risk assessment/ Adaptation and Mitigation
• Work experience in government sector/NGO’s/ Donor agencies/ Research Institutes
• Experience in Office administration
• 
  

Remunerations: Rs. 40,000/-pm

2. Research Associate-II

Upper Age Limit: 30 years

Nature of work: Plan and execute outreach programmes for Capacity building and public awareness on Climate Change related issues, Proposal development for the cell on Capacity Building

Qualification & Experience

• First Class/ High Grade Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication
• First Class MA in Mass Communication
• Three years of experience in carrying out outreach programmes/ Trainings Workshop etc.

Desirable

• Work experience in government sector/NGO’s/ Donor agencies/ Research Institutes
• Work experience in climate issues/ Gender issues
• Experience in Office administration

Remunerations: Rs. 38,000/-pm

3. Research Associate-II

Upper Age Limit: 28 years

Nature of work: Technical Expert (GIS) – Mapping through GIS, Modeling, analysis and other works related to the Climate change Cell

Qualification & Experience

• First Class M.Sc./ M. Tech
• High Grade Technical Diploma in GIS with five years of experience in GIS

Desirable

• Working experience in advances GIS software
• Experience in Climate Modeling and analysis
• Experience in Office administration

Remunerations: Rs. 38,000/-pm

4. Senior Research Fellow

Upper Age Limit: 25 years

Nature of work: Climate vulnerability and risk assessment/Development of District level Climate actions for SAPCC/ NDC/SDG Proposal Development, Monitoring and Evaluation.

Qualification & Experience

• First Class Master Degree in Life Science/ Environmental Science/Geography

Desirable

• Work experience in Biodiversity/ Climate Change related issues

Remunerations: Rs. 28,000/-pm

5. Junior Research Fellow

Nature of work: Field Studies and surveys/Data Analysis/ Report preparation, Modeling

Qualification & Experience

• First Class Master Degree in Life Science/ Environmental Science/Geography

Desirable

• Work experience in Biodiversity/ Climate Change related issues

Remunerations: Rs. 25,000/-pm
