Assam Prison Department, Jail warder, Recruitment 2020: State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) published a
notification on its official website https://slprbassam.in on 05-04-2018 and the same was published
in leading newspapers in Assam on 06-04-2028 for recruitment of 135
posts of Jail Warder in the Prison Department of Assam. Additionally Assam Govt.
has given approval of another 38 posts of Jail Warder in the Prison Department
of Assam.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000-49,000/-, Grade pay Rs. 5000/-per

Eligibility Criteria to
apply for Jail Warder post
Educational
Qualification:
For Male: a) HSLC or
Class X passed from a recognized Board.
b) Candidates should
produce undertakings as to know bi-cycling.
For Female: Must have
passed Annual examination of Class VIII or an equivalent examination recognized
by the Government.
Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen,
ordinarily a resident of Assam.
Age: 18 to 38 years as on 1st January
2020. Relaxation is admissible as per rules

Height (Minimum)
Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC: Male-
162.5 cm, Female- 144.5 cm
ST (H)/ ST(P): Male- 160
cm, Female- 142 cm
Chest (Only for men):
not less than 81 cm when exhaled.
