Assam Administrative Staff College
Applications are invited from intending and eligible
candidates who are citizens of India and having registration number in an
Employment Exchange in the State of Assam as defined in Articles 5-8 of the
Constitution of India for filling up the following vacant posts in the office
of the Directorate of Training, Assam Administrative Staff College,
Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.
1. Assistant Librarian
No of Post: 1 (Unreserved
)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- PM (PB2) with Grade
Pay of Rs.7,400/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Educational Qualification: i) Diploma in Library Science or
above from a recognized University.
ii) Preference will be given to candidates having experience
of working in a library belonging to Government organisation and having
knowledge of Library management.
2. Library Assistant
No of Post: 02 (Unreserved -1 , ST(P) -1)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- PM (PB2) with Grade
Pay of Rs.6200/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam
Educational Qualification: i) The candidate must have passed
the Higher Secondary examinations in any stream from a recognized University /
Council / Board and having a Diploma in Library Science or its equivalent from
a recognized institute.
ii) Preference will be given to candidates possessing
additional qualifications especially in Library Science.
iii) Must have experience in using computer and computer
applications, working with library software and digital library management
systems.
3. Junior Assistant
No of Post: 01(Reserved for OBC/ MOBC)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 60500/- PM (PB2) with Grade
Pay of Rs.6200/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Educational Qualification: i) The candidate must possess a
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or any examination declared
equivalent by the Government.
ii) Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum six (6)
months diploma in basic computer skills or equivalent.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age
and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates,
3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) irrespective
of SC/ST/OBC and General Category
How to Apply:
- Interested candidates shall have to register and fill up the online Application Form available at the official website (www.aasc.assam.gov.in). Online Portal for applying online for different posts will be available from 08-03-2020 onwards and shall close at 24.00 hrs. on 22-03-2020.
- For a new registration, the Applicant shall click on to 'APPLY ONLINE' button on the panel to register. During initial registration process, Applicant must enter his/her valid E-mail ID, valid Mobile No. for verification process. Applicant must generate a password for future login process.
- After verification, candidate must note their e-mail address entered and password generated by the Applicant for future logins

The following documents in original will have to be produced
at the time of document verification. Scanned copies of the following should be
uploaded in the online portal:
a) Scanned copy of recent passport size colour photograph
and scanned copy of signature for uploading.
b) HSLC Admit Card or
Birth Certificate as proof of age.
c) Mark-sheet and pass certificate from HSLC onwards.
d) Caste certificate (where applicable) from competent
authority, if applicable.
e) Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
f) Diploma Certificate, wherever applicable.
g) Government servant

Selection Process: candidates will be selected through a
written test followed by skill test/Computer test
