Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam Recruitment 2020: Applications are invited from intending candidates who are
citizens of India as defined in the Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of
India in the prescribed form of Application available in Part – IX of the Assam
Gazette for filling up of the following vacant posts under the Directorate of
Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam.
1. Sub-Divisional Sports officer (SDSO)
No of Post: 01 (UR)
Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs. 22,000 to 87000/- + 9,400/-
Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/
Commerce with Degree/Diploma in Physical Education
2. Physical Instructor
No of Post: 25 [UR-14(07 for women)/SC-07/ST(P)-03/ST(H)-01]
Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14,000 to 49000/- + 8,700/-
Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/
Commerce with Degree/Diploma in Physical Education
3. Junior Assistant
No of Post: 02 (UR)
Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14,000 to 49000/- + 6,200/-
Educational qualification: Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/
Commerce plus one year diploma in Computer Application, knowledge in DTP, Excel,
Word PowerPoint Presentation, internet Browsing
4. Coach (01 Football coach/ 02 Mountaineering Coach/ Instructors)

Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs. 14,000 to 49000/- + 8,700/-
Educational qualification:
i) Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce with one year
diploma in Sports Coaching
ii) Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/ Commerce with diploma in
Method of Instruction Course and Basic & Advance Course in Mountaineering
from recognized Institution
Examination:
The candidate will have to appear for a written examination
to be conducted by the Selection Committee for filling-up the post of Jr.
Asstt. (HQ) under the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam on the
following subjects
(a). English (b).
General Knowledge (c). Arithmetic
Age: The candidates must not be less than 21 years or more
than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years
in case of SC and ST Candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates only
How to Apply:
- The application must be accompanied by self-attested copies of all academic certificates,mark-sheets Employment Exchange, along with other testimonials.
- The candidate should also submit 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs (self-attested) along with the application (one must be pasted in the application and another two must be submitted separately).
- The applicants intending to apply in more than one category is to apply separately for each post (in a separate envelope), clearly indicating the name of the post (Sub- Divisional Sports Officer/ Physical Instructor / Jr. Asstt. – HQ /Football Coach/Mountaineering Coach / Instructor on the top of the application form.
